Artist Statement
 

My artistic process, developed over many years, is highly intuitive and improvisational, involving my subconscious and instinctual self as much as the act of reasoning and use of learned art making skills. Walking the line between these two states of consciousness is where I am the most lucid, positioned free of a potentially limiting and pre-determined "outcome". The work will inevitably change as it progresses, if allowed a fluid vision . Complete composure and focus is essential for understanding how the abstracted shapes, space, colors (or lack thereof), lines can suggest thoughts/feelings, and where and how to adjust them. As in the thought process itself, the trajectory each work of art takes can be unpredictable and surprising.
